This policy explains how The Portal League handles information from athletes, coaches, fans, families, and visitors.

The Portal League collects and uses information to operate basketball events, athlete profiles, coach tools, livestream access, fan accounts, and related platform services. We only ask for information that supports those services.
Information We Collect
- Account information, including name, email address, authentication provider, account role, and profile details you submit.
- Athlete and coach information, including school, team, position, class year, recruiting details, media links, event registration details, and contact information.
- Fan information, including display name, stream access, purchases, favorites, notification preferences, and related account activity.
- Payment and transaction information processed through our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, authentication events, and security logs.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage athlete, coach, fan, and administrator accounts.
- To operate event registration, scouting, livestream access, payments, notifications, support, and security workflows.
- To display public athlete, coach, event, schedule, news, and marketing content when that content is approved for publication.
- To improve the platform, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and protect users and the integrity of Portal League services.
- To send account, registration, payment, event, password reset, and service-related communications.
How We Share Information
- With service providers that help us operate the platform, including authentication, hosting, email, payment, analytics, storage, and support providers.
- With Moore IQ, which may provide platform development, technical operations, support, and infrastructure services for The Portal League.
- With coaches, scouts, event operators, or the public only when the relevant profile, event, or content is intended to be visible in that context.
- When required by law, legal process, safety needs, fraud prevention, or to enforce our terms and platform policies.
Google Sign-In
- If you register or sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile image when available.
- We use that information to create or access your Portal League account and route you to the correct athlete, coach, or fan experience.
- We do not receive your Google password and do not use Google profile information for unrelated advertising.
Youth and Parent Information
- The Portal League serves athletes, families, coaches, and fans. Some athlete information may relate to high school or college-aged athletes.
- Parents or guardians should assist younger athletes with account creation, event registration, and consent decisions when appropriate.
- If you believe information about a minor was submitted without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review it.
Data Choices and Retention
- You may request updates, corrections, or deletion of account information by contacting us.
- We retain information as needed to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, support event records, and maintain platform security.
- Some public or historical event information may remain visible if it is part of an event, score, roster, news, livestream, or competition record.
Security
- We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect account and platform data.
- No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
